You may have noticed that the blog has a new look and the reason for that is that I feel guilty.
Back on the last day of 2018, I made this post about my 2018 year in blogging. In that post I mentioned that I would be producing even more content in 2019 and I would keep that momentum going for a whole year. I guess it’s fair to say that my 2019 on this blog has been…well, pretty weak. Since making that post, I have written a total of two blog posts (I guess that total is now three).
I have been producing content in the form of Twitch streams and YouTube videos, but the blog has suffered as I have ignored it for a good two full months.
I have been out of work for close to a year and I have been spending the last two months really trying to learn web development so that I can break into a new career. I think I found something I really enjoy that I want to pursue a career in and I have focused on that more than anything else since the start of the year. This blog became a victim in my rebalance of priorities.
However, I promise you that the doldrums of the Fictive Fun blog will not continue.
I still am going to focus most of my time and effort on breaking into the web development industry but starting today, I am committing myself to keeping this blog thing going as well. I am going to allocate at least 30 minutes a day writing….something.
Even if I am just typing stream-of-consciousness gibberish in the post editor, it will be 30 minutes worth of stream-0f-consciousness gibberish.
Don’t worry, I will not post random ramblings like that as posts, but at least I will be writing for those 30 minutes every day. And out of those daily 30 minutes, I am sure to find enough content to piecemeal some posts.
Just write baby.
